QES/Kent ContactPoint Project

context

All local authority information systems holding information on young people will be required the feed into the national young people's information index ContactPoint. ContactPoint will store key details on all young people in England up to the age of 18. It will also note key agencies working with each young person.

the project

Kent Youth Services have secured funding from the government to work with QES to ensure that the Kent version of QES Youth Service meets ContactPoint compliance. This will ensure that the system is configured to capture all appropriate information to fulfil ContactPoint requirements and that the data is logged in the correct formats.

benefits for services in the QES cohort

Kent and QES will regularly communicate with other services in the partnership to ensure that they are up to speed with progress. As Kent moves to ContactPoint compliance other services will be able to identify actions they need to take to ensure their own systems meet requirements.
